Pipillus grandis
BIG Peepy
Here we see the chick BIGPeepy, its flanks swollen wide. Remarkably, it can no longer fit through the gap it once used, and considers the gap to be at fault.
- Habitat
- sunlit hedgerows, beside a gap too small
- Diet
- seed, and second helpings of seed
- Status
- Least Concern — population plump and thriving
